Thank You Doug Siden!

Rev. Doug Siden created much of the passion and action that brought Redwood Glen into mission and existence. Doug always had a passion for youth ministry, and soon developed a strong focus on camping ministries. Click the image to download the information about his memorial service on March 1.

Doug was on staff with ABCW and was the specialist in camping ministries for over 2 decades. He was instrumental in developing Redwood Glen's ministries, and he was the key figure in purchasing Sierra Pines, our sister camp on Echo Summit, Lake Tahoe. (sold previously) One could always find Doug at one of the camps, cameras hanging from his neck, laughing and thinking about next steps.

Doug retired in 1999, but has been very active as a board member and cheerleader for East Bay Regional Parks. Siden Conference Center and EBRPD’s Visitor Center at Crab Cove in Alameda are both named in honor of Rev. Siden's service to the East Bay Regional Parks, Redwood Glen and the mission of Jesus Christ in this world. Rev. Doug Siden passed on to glory January 7 of this year.
